For my Skywatch Friday I have my gorgeous sunset from last night. There were pinks and blues and they are some of my favorite colors to see in the sky.
I love to stand on my deck and listen to the frogs. There are some nights were they sound so LOUD. You can turn on your speaker and listen to my frogs while watching my sunset.

Beautiful colours and great frog chorus! I know something about just how loud frog song can be, especially during out wet season here. It can become quite deafening and just seems to go on all night long.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunset! I love listening to the frogs, too.
ReplyDeleteGlorious way to end ones day! Superb captures as always, Eileen! And I love to listen to the frogs sing -- well, as long as they're not right under my window all night that is! Wishing you a Happy Easter weekend! Enjoy!

Same here. Gorgeous colors. I checked out your youtube video-thanks for the link! Nice vid of the immature eagle too!
ReplyDeleteNot too many frog sounds here, not even with the irrigation ditch right behind the house. I get the lovely, lovely quail.
Last night and this morning there were 2 coveys in The Dirt Patch. Wonderful!
Have a great weekend Eileen!
Hiya Eileen,
ReplyDeleteThose colours look best before the leaves appear. So lovely to see the dark tracery overlaying the sunset.

Such delicate coloring!
ReplyDeleteI WONDER WHY
I wonder why
Some love the sky
But not the wind and rain.
I wonder, friend,
If sky will end—
It’s too much for my brain!

Okay, Eileen, so I had to listen to your frogs to know whether they sound the same as the ones in our backyard when it rains... and they DON'T! :-D Yours sound almost cheerful, while ours have a deep groggy sound... and perhaps we have more of them, because they sure are loud! Still, I enjoy hearing them... And I agree you had a wonderful sky to watch while listening.
ReplyDeletegorgeous sunsets. love the different tones of colours in the sky. Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteOh, I miss the peepers that we used to hear in New Hampshire. If it ever rains again (it's been so long!) here in the desert of southern New Mexico, we will hear the spadefoot toads, which are so loud they can waken you from a deep sleep!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this lovely post, Eileen, and for the link to the video. It has made me feel very nostalgic.
Love that pink/peach sky, very beautiful!

ReplyDeleteRosie@travel-i-tales
wow! so beautiful...you know you made me laugh with the frog's sounds because we also have very noisy frogs here and I almost can't hear our television because of them, and I got mad. I wish they could understand me when I am yelling them to shut up hahaha.
